Mansfield House - Original Artwork

Welcome to Mansfield House, a Palm Springs-inspired 60’s era house in the northern suburbs of Sydney.  The sky is expansive on this clear winter day and the sprinklers cover the ground in a fine mist.  The tall gum trees tower majestically over the landscape and the Sydney skyline glimmers in the distance.

I’ve always wanted to create a painting in the style of my most favorite painter, David Hockney, and my moment came in 2020 when some good friends purchased this beautiful home. As soon as I saw it’s clean lines and imposing position I knew it was the perfect subject.  I was mindful to keep the composition as simple as possible whilst maintaining the integrity of the architecture, and used subtle playful details to add depth and engagement.
